Hi there, I'm Chef Derrik Soares and I want to thank you for considering our catering company for your event.

 

I began creating with food and cooking at a young age. My large Portuguese family often had cookouts, clambakes, and family parties filled with a bounty of traditional and non-traditional dishes. Learning the business from my parents, I developed an entrepreneurial drive. I began as a bus boy at 15 and always kept one foot in the kitchen, assisting chefs to take creative twists on classic dishes.

In 2015, I created Pop Ups Unlimited food service to explore the San Francisco food scene, neighborhood by neighborhood, person to person. We have spent the past four years providing fabulous food and themed experiences that bring joy to our patrons and specialize in using top quality ingredients at excellent price points.

 

We have created many favorite pop ups including: Dim Sum Yum, Who You Callin’ Chicken?, and Friends With Benedicts.  We are also the creators of MaPa Gourmet, gourmet prix fixe dinners from Scotland, Portugal, Tibet, France, Japan and more.  

 

Whether you choose a custom menu or one of our standard menus, my team and I will enjoy making your event exceptional. 

 

We have experience providing weekly breakfast, lunch, and dinner service as well as weekend brunch service. We have catered events of all sizes, including the Start Up Health Conference in 2019 (and slated for 2020) with over 2000 attendees.
